Our trainers each have decades of experience in applying the subjects they teach. They have collectively trained over ten thousand people in systems thinking to masters level, written 23 books on systems thinking and practice, and developed four out of the five systems approaches established over the past 20 years. 

They have about 400 years of systems practice experience between them!

Dr. Ian Cammack

Summary:

Dr. Ian Cammack is an accomplished academic and systems thinking practitioner with over 30 years’ experience spanning higher education, consultancy, and performance improvement. He currently serves as Senior Teaching Fellow and Programme Director of the MSc in Project Management at Lancaster University, where he leads on systems thinking and problem structuring modules across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Ian has held leadership roles at the University of Southampton and previously at Lancaster, with recognition for excellence in teaching and programme innovation. His expertise includes systemic problem solving, project leadership, and blended delivery, and he has contributed to national apprenticeship standards and international academic collaborations in China, India, France, and Malaysia. Ian also brings a strong industry background from BT and ARM Utilities, where he led major improvement and transformation initiatives.

Dr. John Curry

Job Title/Role: Senior Lecturer in Games Design and Cyber Security, Bath Spa University | Professional Wargaming Consultant

Summary:

Dr. John Curry is a leading academic and practitioner in professional wargaming and cyber security, serving as Senior Lecturer and MSc Cyber Security course leader at Bath Spa University, where he also supervises PhD research. A former infantry officer, he has worked on projects with the Pentagon, UK MOD, DSTL, and the Defence Academies of the UK and Australia. He is a prolific author and editor with over 25 books published, including pioneering works on cyber wargaming and matrix games. Dr. Curry collaborates with top figures in the field and regularly presents at international conferences such as MORS, DSET, and Connections. He is also editor of the MORS Wargaming Journal and plays a central role in the professional wargaming community, contributing both academically and operationally.

Laura Griffiths, EMBA

Summary:

Laura Griffiths is a seasoned change and transformation consultant with a strong track record in leading complex public sector programmes, applying PRINCE2®, AgilePM®, and MSP methodologies. With an EMBA and dual honours degrees in Criminal Justice and Law, she brings deep strategic insight to initiatives across local authorities, policing, health, and justice sectors. Laura specialises in systems thinking, behavioural change, and agile transformation, consistently delivering improvements in service design, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement. Her work spans organisational restructuring, digital transformation, portfolio management, and professional coaching, having delivered measurable outcomes for clients including Peterborough City Council, City of London Police, Oxford City Council, MOPAC, and HMCTS.

Patrick Hoverstadt

Summary:

Patrick Hoverstadt is a leading consultant and internationally recognised expert in systemic approaches to organisation design, strategy, and transformation, with over 30 years of experience. Founder of Fractal Ltd, he has worked across private, public, and third sectors—delivering complex organisation restructures, national-level diagnoses, and innovative strategic models. He is co-developer of the “Patterns of Strategy” methodology and a specialist in the Viable System Model. Patrick has advised major firms such as BAE Systems, Siemens, and Rolls Royce, as well as government bodies and global NGOs. A prolific thought leader, author, and educator, he has contributed to postgraduate programmes at ten universities worldwide and served as Chair of SCiO, the UK’s largest systems practitioner community.

Tony Korycki

Summary:

Tony Korycki is an accomplished systems thinking and business improvement specialist with over four decades of UK and international experience in management consulting, process architecture, transformation, and quality systems. Currently Director of Assessment Operations for the Systems Thinking Practitioner apprenticeship, Tony has also held senior roles at BT—leading large-scale process, performance, and customer experience transformations. He has been instrumental in shaping the Systems & Complexity in Organisation (SCiO) body of knowledge and supporting professional standards development. With an MSc in Telecommunications Business, a PGDip in Systems Thinking, and a BA in Humanities with Music, Tony blends analytical rigour with creative engagement. He is also active in community arts, music, and radio broadcasting, contributing both professionally and artistically to learning, culture, and systemic change.

Peter Lacey

Summary:

Peter Lacey is a health and social care consultant with over 25 years of experience, specialising in systems thinking and system dynamics modelling to address complex multi-agency challenges. As Managing Director of Whole Systems Partnership, he leads strategic and integrated planning projects focused on service transformation, workforce, finance, and population health analysis within the UK health economy. Peter also directs Project RUM, a not-for-profit initiative promoting open-source system dynamics models for health and care sectors. Simon MacCormac

Dr. Natalie Marguet

John Rogers

John Rogers is an accomplished systems thinking consultant and former public sector leader with over 30 years of experience driving purposeful, systemic improvement in complex, multi-agency environments. As Director of Entelechy Consulting and Systems Practitioner Assessment Ltd, he advises, trains, and assesses leaders and organisations in systems thinking, with recent work including frameworks and training for NHS Integrated Care Systems. Formerly Head of Systems Thinking at Wiltshire Council, he led transformative initiatives across children’s services, adult social care, and policing, and pioneered immersive systems training for 1,500 staff. John combines deep practical expertise with a background in consultancy, leadership, and clinical practice, and is a driving force in shaping systems thinking education and standards in the UK.

Benjamin Taylor

Summary:

Benjamin P Taylor (www.antlerboy.com) is a leading figure in public service transformation, systems thinking, and organisational development with over 25 years of experience. He is Chief Executive of the Public Service Transformation Academy, a social enterprise delivering capability-building programmes such as the Cabinet Office Commissioning Academy, and Managing Partner at RedQuadrant, a consultancy he co-founded to innovate and disrupt traditional approaches to public service. With a background in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford, Benjamin has held advisory and leadership roles in local government and international consulting, including with PwC and Capita. Deeply engaged in the systems and complexity community, he is a Director of SCiO, a Fellow of the Cybernetics Society, and a prolific speaker, writer, and educator. He is currently authoring two books and co-hosts two podcasts on systems thinking and service transformation.

Dr. Kim Warren
